Come learn about the weird, whacky & wonderful world of nature at our weekend Cub Camp. Your Scout will be in a safe outdoor environment enjoying nature and scouting at its best! Activities include archery, hiking, nature study, scout crafts and skills while learning Leave No Trace principles and living the Outdoor Code. WHO CAN ATTEND?
Scouts who are entering the 1st – 5th grade in the Fall as
Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos and Arrow of Light.
CUB CAMP @ SHAFFER PARK DATES
August 21 – August 22, 2021
5.5-hour days, Dens arriving at staggered times
DEN STAGGERED ARRIVAL TIMES
With the exception of Tigers, siblings and same Pack members will be placed into the same Den
(Dens are not split up by rank this year). Siblings of Tiger Cubs will be placed in Den 1.
– Den 1 – 9:10AM to 2:45PM
– Den 2 – 9:30AM to 3:05PM
– Den 3 – 9:55AM to 3:30PM
-Den 4 – 10:15AM to 3:50PM
– Tiger Den – 9:00AM to 2:35PM (One adult must attend with Tiger Cubs)

Camp Shaffer is $85 per camper (NO PARENT VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS EXCEPT TIGERS)
Cub camp t-shirt, cub camp patch, Camp completion certificate, all activity materials, full-time
medical staff, BSA-trained volunteer staff and a safe and fun day of exploring nature!

Everything is being carefully planned around current COVID-19 safety guidelines. It’ll feel a little
different but we’ll have just as much fun!
AWARDS SCOUTS WILL EARN
All Scouts will earn their outdoor activity awards and the adventures needed as part of that award.
Additional activities will complete some requirements for various adventures at different den levels.
ATTEND CUB CAMP WITH YOUR SCOUT FOR TIGERS OR SPECIAL NEEDS
Because of cohort guidelines, this year only Tiger and 1 to1 parents are required to attend camp.
You will be with your cub all day in a cohort. Tiger siblings will likely be in a different den, depending
on availability in the Tiger Den.
