The Rendezvous is a three-day adventure for Scouts, Ventures and Explorers who would like to catch a glimpse of the rendezvous world. Come and experience how it was to live the life of a Mountain man or trapper. Participants can look forward to leaning the craft of flint & steel, how to pack a mule, black powder shooting, tomahawk throwing, pan ring, make fry bread, blacksmithing, turning butter, plus many more exciting events, Wagh!!!
To Scouts, Avant Couriers, Explorers, Venture seekers, Greenhorns, (mangeur de lard), Mountain Men, Free Trappers, Bossloper, Eastern Long Hutters, Native Trade delegations, Courier de Bois, Voyageurs, Winterers, and Traders alike….Prepare to deploy for rendezvous! Yes even pilgrims and blanc bec are welcome.
TIME: Check-in will begin on Friday, September 23, at 5:00pm till 11:00pm Closing ceremonies will be on Sunday, September 25 at 9:00 am at Flag poles.
PREREGISTRATION: Due to the nature of our Rendezvous programs, we can only serve a limited number of participants, Please register early!!! You will need all of the following particulars: 1. Fees must be paid to the council office prior to going to fort Chesebrough 2. List of youth and adult members written down and turn in at check in on Friday 3. Shooting release form per participants, Turn in at Friday night at the S.P.L. & S.M. Meeting at 9:30pm at the Staff Camp by Flag poles or to the Booshway. To get wristbands, No wristbands no shoot.
FEE: Are $45.00 by 9/1, $50.00 by 9/18, $60.00 onsite
UNIFORMS & REGALIA & OUTFITTES: Troop are encouraged (but not required) to dress in period clothing appropriate for the 1800 rendezvous. Persons without period clothing should dress in class B.
PARKING: Availability of parking is limited, once your unit has unloaded its gear, please leave all of your vehicles in the main parting lot. ( Back in all vehicles in case of fire )
FIRE: ALL CAMP FIRE KNEE HIGH FLAMES ONLY. With fire pals water and dirt.
Trappers Disclaimer: Remember, keep your power dry and watch your topknot! Lost scalps are non-refundable! The rendezvous is a rain or shine event. The robe season will not be far away, So don’t find yourselves caught in a black bird storm with hyars damp powder an no ways ter dry hit. If you’re prepared for a willow killer, then everything will be up to Green River and shining. Henyways ye lay lay yer sights, this rendezvous will be slick as shootin’ painter meat! Our rendezvous is by a long chalk. Year- 1840 compliant.
Rendezvous Travel Tip: When in a water scrape, and fer from camp, home. Fort, or diggins, throw a buffler and take a horn of buffalo cider to cure your thirst.

The time is set in 1825 till 1840 as the first Rendezvous was held, So if you can Please dress, camp and and eat as in the 1800
We you award the top three in: Outfits, Camp Site, Iron chef (food will be provided), 4 Trapper Run categories by ages 11-13 14-16 17-20 A.A.R.P. (Advanced Aged Rendezvous Person) Rendezvous run by invitation only, by the Staff in the seven Rendezvous skill
For you Greenhorns you don’t need to spend a lot of money on a Rendezvous outfit, go to goodwill or a thrift shop look an old felt hat, a plaid colored shirt old style, cut off the buttons and collar, Sew the shirt together where the buttons were, look for white painters pants, if not there go to a paint store, then cut out all the belt looks. Next year start working make: a possible’s bag, moccasins, bandolier, candle lanterns, time appropriate accessories
Hint: many Troops pick one item a year and make prior to Rendezvous, plank chairs, moccasins, tents
