This year’s Pioneer District Dinner will take place on Friday, November 18th at Cambrian Park United Methodist Church (1919 Gunston Way, San Jose).

The highlight of this dinner is recognizing and honoring Adult Scout volunteers, including those who serve in uniformed positions and those not in uniform.  This is your opportunity to thank one or more Scouters in your own unit who have significantly contributed over the past year to the success of your unit by bestowing on them the Trailblazer Award and District Merit Award.

Trailblazer Award for Unit Level Service (every unit gets 1, +1 for every additional 25 youth)

• Do you have an “unsung” hero in your unit? Would you like to see that person recognized for the outstanding hard work they do? Nominate them for the Trailblazer Award.

District Award of Merit for District Level Service (3 for the Pioneer District)

• The District Award of Merit is the highest district honor which recognizes the top three volunteers in the Pioneer District. Nominees should have a proven track record of excellent service at the district level.
