Coyote Creek District

Serves the City of Milpitas South into East San Jose in the communities of Alum Rock, Berryessa, Evergreen, Silver Creek, West to Monterey Highway including a good portion of downtown San Jose, including the neighborhoods of Naglee Park and Japan Town.

Coyote Creek District has over 86 Scouting units, with over 2,600 members.  We are proud of the 98 youth who earned the Eagle Scout award and 1 youth who earned the Summit Award in 2019.

District Leadership

District Director

Dawna Wolfson

Professional (Career) Scouter who gives full-time leadership and guidance through a team of volunteers to build community partnerships to support program delivery, membership growth and financial support for Scouting units in the defined district geography.

District Chair

Michael Gabler

Volunteer member of the District Key 3 who gives leadership to the District Committee, a team of volunteers responsible for finance, membership, and program delivery for Scouting units in the geographic designation of the district. 

District Commissioner

Jeff Thompson

Volunteer member of the District Key 3 who gives leadership to the Commissioner Staff, a team of volunteers responsible for supporting the health of the Cub Scout pack, Scouts BSA troops, and Venture Crews in the district.

A District Vice Chair responsible for recruiting youth and starting new Scouting units.

Finance Chair

A District Vice Chair responsible for leading fundraising efforts, including Friends of Scouting and product sale campaigns.

Recuits volunteers to support and ensure the success of the following activities:

Trains unit volunteers and youth to successful administer their position.

Advancement Chair

Supports and promotes youth advancement in units, including the Eagle Scout process.

The Chapter Advisor who advises the local Order of the Arrow chapter.
